The Means to End Police Violence: A Fundraiser for the Justice Committee

Registration is closed for this event
A fundraiser for the Justice Committee hosted by Showing Up for Racial Justice

Please join Showing Up for Racial Justice NYC to raise funds for the Justice Committee on July 20, 7pm, at Verso Books in DUMBO. It will be an evening of socializing and learning more about the Justice Committee’s vital role in organizing for police accountability in NYC.

Buy your ticket below: $25-100 sliding scale; any amount will give you entry to the event. Alternatively, instead of purchasing a ticket, please consider becoming a sustaining contributor (minimum $10/month), to help the Justice Committee continue its direct impact in NYC communities. You can become a sustaining donor by clicking here. Please choose the SURJ Fundraiser dedication option.

The work of holding authorities accountable calls for ongoing support. Many of the cases the Justice Committee supports have continued for years, some even decades. If you’ve attended any #RamarleyGraham actions or events, you’ve witnessed the tremendous role that Justice Committee plays in fighting against police violence, and you know the tremendous work yet to be done.

Your support will help the Justice Committee:

  • Support and organize families who have lost loved ones to the police to win police accountability and justice

  • Build Cop Watch teams across the City

  • Empower low-income New Yorkers of color to hold the police accountable and build safe, healthy communities

  • Organize for policy changes to decrease police violence and strengthen police accountability
