Justice Committee Orientation

Registration is closed for this event

The Justice Committee (JC) Orientation is open to people of color who are interested in joining movement to end police violence and working to build safe, healthy, powerful communities in NYC. Join us Saturday, March 21 to learn more about the work we do at JC.

What this Justice Committee Orientation will cover:

  • The JC's history, purpose, goals and program work.

  • How you can plug-in to building community safety practices that don't rely on police, supporting families who have lost loved ones to the police, CopWatching, training NYers to know and exercise their rights, organizing for systemic change and much more.

Who should attend this Orientation?

  • NYers of color who are interested in learning more about and possibly plugging into the Justice Committee's work to build the movement to end police violence and systemic racism in NYC.

Due to the circumstances brought on by the coronavirus (COVID-19), JC is taking measures to make sure we don't create situations that expose people to the virus. We want to do what we can to help protect our most vulnerable communities from being at risk. Therefore we have decided to make the JC Orientation an online gathering.

We will share information about how to join this online orientation to participants who RSVP.
