CPR CopWatch Training

Learn how to document, de-escalate, and deter police violence with CopWatch.

Discriminatory, abusive policing is nothing new for the NYPD, but the moment Mayor de Blasio and Governor Cuomo engaged the NYPD in social distancing enforcement, they created new conditions for abuse. Social distancing -related police violence and misconduct is impacting the same communities that have always been the targets of the NYPD's violence: Black, and Latinx communities, low-income workers and families, youth, New Yorkers who are homeless and those with disabilities.

This is why we must Step it up and learn to CopWatch

This Training will cover:

  • How the current conditions have intensified criminalization of vulnerable communities
  • How to CopWatch as safely and effectively as possible
  • How to document police interactions during the Covid19 pandemic, while still practicing social distancing
  • Practice our newly learned skills through virtual roleplaying
